Tampa, FL – We met with Sika Store Specialist Ryan Wilcox to review a demonstration of Sika Post Fix for a Lowe’s in Tampa, Florida. Ryan agreed with Nikki Jones that the most popular Sika product varies by store, even within a short distance of each other. However, he mentioned that Sika AnchorFix is popular along the Gulf Coast as additional reinforcement is often needed to combat the heavy winds. The Lowe’s in Tampa is one of 900 Lowe’s nationwide that is demonstrating Sika Post Fix.
Michael, the store manager, told us that Lowe’s is always looking for new, interesting products. The guys in the Professional Services Department even tested the Post Fix the day before Ryan’s demonstration, as they were curious about the new product. Raul from Professional Services asked Ryan a series of questions about the product. Homeowners and contractors will ask Raul for advice on products and it’s important for him to have background knowledge to answer their questions.
Ryan gave a demonstration of the Post Fix for Lowe’s associates and passing customers. An 8 foot post requires two 50 pound bags of concrete for stability. A three pound bag of Post Fix provides the same set strength as the necessary concrete. The two components come in one bag, and after breaking the seal between them the mixture can be applied to an unstable post. In three minutes the post can stand on its own. Post Fix is not only useful for professional contractors, but it’s also practical for homeowners (i.e. mailboxes, garden fences, etc.). Check out this video to learn more about Post Fix.
