Los Angeles, CA – Metropolis in downtown Los Angeles will feature two residential towers, a luxury hotel, and several retail shops. In view of both the Staples Center and the Civic Center, Metropolis is located across the street from the tallest building west of the Mississippi. The apartments in the 38-story Tower 1 building are already for sale, with prices starting at $680,430. Each apartment designed by SPAN Architecture will include ornate white oak floors. M.S. Rouse Co, Inc. has been contracted to install these luxury floors, and they are using Sika products to do so.
Ruben from M.S. Rouse took us to see the ongoing construction on the building’s 33rd floor. The installers from M.S. Rouse were taking careful consideration to make sure the floors are level by using the Sika Level SkimCoat. SikaBond-T35 was then troweled across the floor to adhere to the white oak boards. The result is an elegant floor to match the high-quality craftsmanship seen throughout the apartments.
The Metropolis apartments are also covered by Sika Sarnafil roofing, and so water damage will not be a problem for these floors. If you are looking for a luxury apartment in downtown Los Angeles (in walking distance of a Laker’s game), check out the Metropolis apartments. We can vouch that both the floors and the view are amazing.
