Summer is over but lets look back at how our employees shared their “Summer with Sika”

Over the summer of 2016, Matt & Eric, our two Sika ambassadors traveled across the USA to visit project sites, factories, distributors and stores where Sika products are used and sold.    This amazing journey led to countless connections with our customers that were shared and documented on this site.   While Matt & Eric toured the country, Sika USA held an internal contest for our employees to share how they spent their “Summer with Sika”.  Here is a compilation of some of the submissions:

“I couldn’t think of a better way to illustrate the Sika motto of “Building Trust”, than to capture the tremendous buildings of the lower Manhattan skyline in the background. Photo from my patio.” – Arron

my-summer-sika-int-kevin“Waterproofing the nation’s capital one bridge at a time.” – Kevin

my-summer-sika-int-tina“When I went to high school here the building was falling apart, I could see stains from roof leaks everywhere…. A few years ago, a brand new high school was built and it looks absolutely beautiful and I must say the roof is the best part 🙂 I run by this school everyday feeling proud that I work for a company that is protecting current students and future students for a long time to come with a #SarnafilRoof #SikaEveryDay” – Tina

my-summer-sika-int-jerhard“My summer with Sika has been an eventful and enriching educational experience helping me advance in my studies at college. Without Sika, I would not have been able to visit elaborate sites, meet hardworking individuals or gain the knowledge required for me to continue working towards my desired career.” – Jerhard

“Always try to look further than what you have in front of you” – Claire

my-summer-sika-int-darryl“Unexpected detour to Yosemite. Standing in front of El Capitan. Words can’t express how amazing this place is!  It is a must see and a check off the bucket list.” – Darryl

“While my stroke still is pretty ugly, I got a pretty shot of a Sika golf ball while out playing golf with some coworkers.” – Will

  • After spending yesterday and this morning building and decorating their boats, four teams paraded their vessels before a supportive crowd and then entered the harbor for a race. Once the teams rounded the harbor, the crowd favorites were picked and the Sikaflex trophies were awarded to the well deserving teams. It was great to be part of the #camdenwindjammerfestival and see the fun each team had learning about boat building. #boatbuilding #camdenmaine

  • The Mary Lee Clark and Matilda Harris Elementary Schools shared a problem: they both had leaking standing seam metal roofs. Today both roofs are leak-free and ready to welcome students back to school with the help of the watertight metal look like Sarnafil Decor roof system. “I’m really pleased with the appearance,” Frank A. Neagle, AIA, project architect at Buckley and Associates of Savannah, Georgia, said. “I bet that 95 percent of the time people think it is a metal roof.” #MetalLookAlike #DecorRoof #SikaSarnfil #BackToSchool
